Review: The first wave of Zoids in the Genesis line consisted mostly of Zoids that had been previously released but in dramatic new color schemes. Brastle Tiger was one of the Zoids chosen to be recolored for this line. The new color scheme looks really good, it's less menacing and more subdued, giving this Zoid a powerful yet noble look. In the anime Brastle Tiger is piloted by a girl named Gaboule who's boyfriend Dinga entrusted her with the safety of this Zoid before he was killed in battle. At first Gaboule blames Ruuji for Dinga's death and attempts to kill him on several occasions. Eventually she is told the truth of what happened and decides to align herself with the anti-Digald movement. Brastle Tiger is an incredible kit with a wide range of features. The construction is very challenging so you must exercise patience while assembling this kit. Once assembled Brastle Tiger has a very cool motorized feature, while walking forward its head moves up and down as do the row of guns along its back. Brastle Tiger's ultimate weapon is the "thermic burst", for this attack many hidden panels and covers open up to reveal Brastle Tiger's vast array of weaponry. Overall Brastle Tiger is a great kit with an excellent amount of features and an elaborate construction. If you don't already have a Brastle Tiger in your collection I can't recommend this Zoid enough. Which version of Brastle Tiger you get is up to you, the original version is dark, brooding, and definitively evil looking. This version seems dangerous yet more heroic, a great addition to any collection. Rating: |
