Review:
Murasame Liger is the first completely new design to be released in the Zoids Genesis line of Zoids. For Tomy Genesis seems to be about experimentation and Murasame Liger certainly is a step in a new direction as the main frame of the body comes pre-assembled. While many fans were upset about this aspect of the kit it does still provide a satisfying building experience due to the large amount of detailed parts which require assembly.

In the anime Murasame Liger is piloted by a young boy named Ruuji, who discoveres the Liger at the bottom of the ocean near his village. Ruuji is the main character of Zoids Genesis. The people of his village worshipped the Murasame Sword as a relic of the past, but when Bio-Zoids threatened to destroy the village Ruuji was able to activate the Murasame Liger and use the sword to defeat them.

Murasame Liger has a very sleek, progressive design. The colors are very good and the removable CAS leaves many possibilities for customization. This Zoid also employs a very unique cockpit that raises up and forward, giving it a very advanced feel. Murasame Liger's main feature is the large sword it carries on its back. The sword has an action feature that allows it to be deployed rapidly. Simply push the tab on top of the sword and it will come swinging out and down the side of Murasame Liger's body in one quick motion.

Overall I would highly recommend Murasame Liger to any Zoid collector. Many fans have complained about the pre-built base unit but it honestly doesn't bother me much considering the amount of work that this kit still entails. The only downsides to me are that the sword is not very posable, it only comes down the left side of the body, and the blade itself is made of very soft plastic. Aside from these issues I still think this is a great kit with a very unique design and concept.
