Review:
Whitz Wolf was the first newly designed motorized Zoid for 2004, the first Zoid being Jet Falcon. Whitz Wolf was the second Republic/ZOITEC Zoid released in 2004. Whitz Wolf is also part of the new Battle Story that takes place 121 years after the conclusion of the original Battle Story. In the new story the war between the Helic Republic and Neo-Zenevas Empire has ended, two competing companies, ZOITEC and Zi-Arms, fight to obtain Zoid cores from 3 ancient tiger type Zoids.
Whitz Wolf is a motorized Zoid that is roughly the size of Lightning Saix. When the motor is activated Whitz Wolf walks forward, the jaw opens and closes, and the guns on his back reciprocate. Whitz Wolf also combines with BZ-023 Savinga to form Whitz Tiger. Whitz Tiger's paws are stored on the back of Whitz Wolf's legs.
Both Helic Republic and ZOITEC Industry symbols were included with the sticker sheet. I believe that while the war is over the Helic Republic still exists and ZOITEC has taken over as the principal manufacturer of their Zoids. Of course Tomy could simply have included these in case you didn't want to abide by the new Battle Story. Also included with Whitz Wolf is a display stand.
Whitz Wolf takes Blox integration to a whole new level for Zoids. While he does not have any actual Blox, all of the parts are mounted on Blox compatible pegs and holes. Unfortunately not all of Savinga's part are used with Whitz Tiger but the combination of the two looks much more natural and seamless than any previous Zoid + Blox combinations.
